Dear all,
Following on from a number of consultations over the last year, we have now had confirmation from Surrey County Council Highways department that the traffic safety works which we have worked hard to have implemented over a number of years will start on 4th August 2025.
The works will involve Loxwood Road and disruption will be for about a month (weather permitting) whilst the works take place. The scheme includes buildouts at the lower end of the village to allow safe crossing of the road, traffic speed reductions, yellow lines and increased signage. Road markings will be changed too, to warn oncoming vehicles of safety measures, and to enhance village and resident safety.
I apologies for any inconvenience caused by the works; the parish council are very aware that the sheer volume of roadworks in the area has caused considerable chaos, but these works should be short lived and make the village a better place for everyone.
Thanks,
