Dear all,
Following on from Alfold Parish Council’s full council meeting last week (Thursday 13th February 2025), where a number of planning matters were discussed, the resolution of the councillors was to hold an open village meeting to understand residents comments on the live Thakeham application for 400 new dwellings on Springbok.
As you are all only too aware now, the parish council needs to follow procedure to ensure it represents our villagers views going forward. In order to facilitate this, Alfold Parish Council would like to meet informally with the residents at Alfold Village Hall on 26th February 2025 from 8pm – 9.30pm in order to consider their observations.
It is vital that the parish council understands all views on this matter before the parish council has a full council meeting on 3rd March to discuss and determine it’s comments on the application for the Thakeham development (WA/2025/00219). There may well be discussions on the Wates 80 at Bridian Farm, but this is not a live application at the minute, so we would direct residents to complete the statements which are attached, with comments being submitted here > alfoldconsultation@cratus.co.uk .
Thanks, Julie > clerk@alfoldparishcouncil.gov.uk
