Please note there local elections for both parish and borough councils are scheduled to take place on Thursday 4th May 2023. Please see attached the Notice of Election which is required to be published at the start of the pre-election period which starts today and ceases after election day. The new council will be formed legally on 10th May 2023, after votes are counted and verified (if an election is called).
Alfold Parish Council has now been allocated 9 councillors after the Local Council Governance Review which concluded at the end of last year. This is to reflect the increasing numbers of residents in the village and to ensure we are delivering services to our community. If you are interested in standing for election (which will happen if there are 1o or more nominations), please contact the Clerk (link through the website) for further information. The deadline for Waverley to receive Nominations is 4th April by 4pm, and papers are received by Waverley Borough Council Electoral Services by hand only.
