Dear all,
Works are drawing to a close on the village pond with our contractor, Hardwood Landscapes. They are spreading topsoil today and sowing grass seed wildflower seeds. Once this is done, they will fence off most of the pond area for a few weeks whilst the seeds bed in.
Alfold Parish Council kindly asks residents not to pass the fencing for a few weeks for both human and canine/animals (the fencing will remain up until the seed has germinated). This will give the seeds the best possible chance of growing and enhancing the area for us all.
Concrete pads will be going in shortly for the bin and two benches (a Queen’s Platinum Jubilee bench and a butterfly and bee bench) which when delivered will be installed by the contractors to ensure they remain in situ.
The bin, once installed should now become part of Biffa’s rota in the village and should be emptied fortnightly. If there are any issues regarding bins in the village, please do contact me in the first instance as we have had a number of problems with bins being missed.
If you have any questions, please do get in touch with me through the website. Thanks > Julie.
