Alfold Neighbourhood Plan Referendum – Please Vote

Alfold’s Neighbourhood Plan

Dear all,

As some of you may be aware, we are just under 2 weeks away from voting on the Neighbourhood Plan in the Referendum which is scheduled to be held at the Village Hall on Thursday 7th December 2023 from 7am – 10pm.  Please do remember your photo ID to vote, we do not want residents to make unnecessary journeys in cold weather.

Votes are binary, either ‘yes’ you vote for Alfold to adopt the Neighbourhood Plan, or ‘no’ you don’t want Alfold to adopt the Neighbourhood Plan.

This policy document has been a long time in the making and has involved much hard work by the Parish Council.  It sets out the framework for how Alfold views developments, dark skies, heritage, recreation and other important issues and legally has to be taken into account by any developers viewing Alfold as a location for new houses.

The documents, which comprise of the actual Neighbourhood Plan, Appendices and Alfold’s Design Code can all be found on the links of the following website address: Neighbourhood Plan – Alfold Parish Council, or you can contact your local parish councillor who has hard copies of the documents for you to view.  If anyone has any questions, please do contact me at clerk@alfoldparishcouncil.gov.uk and I will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Alfold Parish Councillors are very much hoping that the Plan is adopted and believe that it’s benefits to the village will be far reaching and positive.

Thanks,

Julie.
